2019: Launched as a digital bridge to connect local shops with their community.

The Pivot: Through the challenges of COVID-19, we saw firsthand the unique struggles of women-owned businesses. We didn't just watch; we acted.

The Impact: Over the course of three years, we mentored five cohorts of women entrepreneurs through 12-month business growth programs, providing 24/7 online support and dedicated digital upskilling programs.

The Innovation: We pioneered "Joint Marketing" for Croydon High Streets, proving that collective action can reduce costs by 90% for small businesses.
RESEARCH AND POLICY ADVOCACY
At Our Local Online, we believe that one single solution cannot fix the complex challenges small businesses face. To find the right answers, we must look deeper.
Our founder, Dr. Loge Nallathambi is currently volunteering with UN Women UK to lead a vital research program. This project investigates the specific barriers women-owned businesses face in UK procurement, seeking to understand these challenges in depth so we can advocate for fairer policies.
BRIDGING HEALTH AND BUSINESS
Drawing on her medical background, Dr. Loge Nallathambi also focuses on supporting women-owned healthcare businesses.
We help these founders move from traditional models to digital platforms, focusing on the NHS vision: moving from active treatment to community-based prevention and awareness.

Based in the heart of Croydon borough, OurLocalOnline believes that real change is only possible through collective effort. By partnering with local business leaders and community stakeholders, we are bringing five years of research and hands-on experience to a shared mission for our city.
Our focus for this united action is to turn insights into impact. We are combining our deep understanding of the challenges faced by small businesses—specifically women-owned enterprises—with the expertise of local partners.

With over 20 years of experience as a medical professional, my career has always been about precision, care and service. Having lived in Croydon for two decades, I realised that the same dedication needed in medicine is required to support our local economy.
I founded OurLocalOnline to bridge the digital gap for UK small businesses and the next generation. My mission is to ensure that as technology and AI evolve, our communities are not left behind but are instead empowered to lead with innovation and resilience.
